We also have discounted packages for lip enhancement and eye rejuvenation available offering lower prices and great savings. A $50 Booking fee applies at the time of making an appointment, which can be redeemed towards the cost of the treatment.

Why should I choose Nitai Medical & Cosmetic Centre?

Our doctor has received extensive training by leading Australian experts in the field. She keeps up to date with new and advanced procedures involving wrinkle treatment. All anti-wrinkle injections are administered by our doctor. We do not have a ’nurse injector’. Our products are stored at the correct temperature in a specialized fridge with a data logger monitoring the fridge temperature constantly. In case of power failure products are discarded. There are freshly drawn up with each patient at the correct dosage. The product is safe and very effective and provided at a reasonable cost.

What are Anti-wrinkle injections?

A purified protein that is produced under sterile conditions(much like the antibiotic penicillin ) is injected into certain muscles with specific doses to stop the movement of the muscle. This reduces wrinkle formation and shallows out existing static wrinkles. This gives the appearance of a nice natural smooth skin.

How do anti-wrinkle injections help?

Injections are targeted at specific muscles depending on the condition treated. It can be used to reduce frown lines, crow’s feet ,bunny lines and for eyebrow elevations.
Our aim is to provide a fresh ,natural ,youthful ,”just back from holidays” look. It is important to remember that it will not result in a distasteful frozen look that we all dislike.

What are Advanced techniques in use of anti-wrinkle injections?

Dr Singh has also been trained in advanced uses of anti-wrinkle injections which include:

1. Treatment of hyperhydrosis or excessive sweating not controlled by deodorants . Areas affected include the armpits, hands and feet. It is not used for normal sweating.

2. Treatment of square jaw in females. Oval faces in females are considered more feminine. Square jaw where the lower jaw looks wide is effectively treated with this product.

3. Teeth grinding – where some patients have a habit of grinding their molars particularly at night. Grinding will lead to poor dentition . Again, anti-wrinkle injections are effective for this condition

4. Migraines – true migraine sufferers will know the agony of migraines. Any patient with a clear diagnosis of migraine (and no underlying medical condition) will benefit tremendously with this.

5. Neck Rejuvenation-Patients, especially those with thin necks usually have a prominent muscle in the neck called the Platysma. This pulls the face down and therefore aging the face and looks like “chicken legs”.

Injecting this muscle delays aging and softens the face and neck.

What does the treatment involve?

During the consultation areas to be treated and will be discussed. Consent formed will be signed again following discussion of potential complications.
Photographs will also be taken only for our records only unless you consent to use for education. All aspects of the consultations are strictly confidential. The treatment takes 10-20 mins . No anaesthetic is required.

The effect of the injections are seen at 4 days with the maximum effect at 2 weeks. At this point a review appointment is made for you for a further photograph and to see if some additional treatment may be required.

Your doctor may also recommend After treatments for facial rejuvenation.

The treatment is expected to last 4 months. A review appointment is made for you.

How safe is it?

Safety profile is impressive and anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world. It is used in Ophthalmology and neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy in much higher doses very safely.

What are the Side Effects?

1. Minor swelling that looks like mosquito bite which resolves within 10-15 mins and is easily covered with makeup.

2. Rarely, a heavy eyelid can develop which resolves after 2 weeks and can be treated with eye drops.

3. No permanent side effects are known.

4. It is not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Will my wrinkle get more if I stop Anti-wrinkle injections?

No. Lines gradually return to pre-treatment appearance.

How much pain can I expect?

Needles used are very fine and ice is administered on the skin during the procedure. This minimizes the pain. We do whatever we can to minimize anxiety.

How much will I need?

The dosage is calculated depending on the size of the muscle and depth of the wrinkle. This varies with age, condition of the skin and sex.

Can Anti-wrinkle injections be combined with other procedures?

Yes, Anti-wrinkle injections can be combined with dermal fillers to enhance the effect. Other rejuvenation procedures may be recommended depending on your skin concerns. Maintenance with good quality skincare and makeup will also dramatically reduce the effects of aging.

If you require assistance with your skin condition, we can help.

Every patient presenting with a skin condition is reviewed by a doctor and an appropriate treatment and ongoing skin care plan is developed to suit your specific case.
